Dark Monday
We started the day with Mr S saying that he didn't think she could make it to the doctor. I'm not sure many folks end their lives with a short trip in the car to the doctor. So I left for work and Jr loaded everyone up and indeed, they all did make it to the doctor. Well, everyone except the doctor who had an "emergency" and couldn't make either appointment.
I returned home for work to a man sitting in angst on his bed thinking Mama was going to die because she hadn't had a bm in 7 days. We discussed the possibilities - enema (which isn't a possibility), hospital emergency room or laxative and wait. I called my insurance's nurse on call and spoke to her and she said - a person could wait 10 days, if her stomach is gurgling she's not impacted, giver her the laxative and wait. That seemed to be enough to get him to sleep but I'm sure there will be more headholding today. It annoys me that he can't seem to find anything positive about life. He said on Sunday that he had violated the 1st commanment by making her health a god before him. That was after we told him that no matter if our life was distracted, we were obeying the commandment honor thy parents. We're trying to do the right thing here but the negativity is very difficult to deal with.
