Bright Days after the gloom

Amazing what a dose of laxative will do for the atmosphere in a senior's home. Things moved yesterday so when I came home I had a happy father in law.

We played hymns on the piano and clarinet and both of us enjoyed it. We played the first song in the Baptist hymnbook and the last long in the Baptist hymnbook and a few inbetween.

It surely is nice coming home every day to a clean kitchen and fed inlaws. It makes it much easier to prepare the next days food. For dinner they had canned chicken and dumplings. I asked if he liked it and he said that wasn't what they had but he really liked what she served and that he didn't like dumplings. So maybe we'll serve it and just call it something else in the future since it was a great hit. i made pasta salad last night and slipped and put in artichoke hearts. I'm sure that will not be a hit. This AM I served her yougurt with fruit. It could be the first time she's ever had yougurt and she really enjoyed it. Back home she didn't eat breakfast but that could have been because most breakfasts were overcooked scrambled eggs. She eats well for me but here her breakfast is generally a couple of prunes and a quarter of a banana.
